DEF LEPPARD STILL ROCKS!
This was my 5th time seeing this great band, and it was a super show! The first time was in the mid 1980's. They guys played 1/2 of PYROMANIA, and it was great to hear the songs that weren't radio hits but true fans know and remember fondly, in my case. Joe has lost his ability to hit the high notes as well as he did in the 1980's (which is to be expected), but he still has a fine voice and it was on full display. Rick Allen is a crowd favorite and you can tell absolutely loves playing live. Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell were magnificent, and it was nice to see Vivian's skills displayed a little more as Phil has always gotten most of the solos in the past shows. Rick Savage got a little love as well showing he still really enjoys his band mates and is a gifted guitar player. Photograph was a highlight and it was excellent. Opening night in Vegas was ROCK ROCK TILL YOU DROP, and I am certain that the fans that will witness the next 13 dates will love it as much as me and my daughter did!
Big Time Rush show was too short!
The evening was way too short, however Electric Feels put on a good show. Instead of calling it "An Evening with Electric Feels", it should have been called "An Hour with Electric Feels". Where was the opening act? You couldn't even see the screens on either side of the stage because it was so light. And why couldn't it have started a little later (especially when there was no opening act)? I've been to other shows catering to younger children that had two opening acts and the main act didn't perform until later. Not sure if it was because of the band or the position of our seats, also there was a lot of distortion. For the cost of the show, I do not feel we got our monies worth. Again, the band did put on a good show, though.
